Healthy holidays
Food 365 days a year
School holidays should be a time of joy and fun, however, for many families, the school holidays are a difficult time when parents are unable to cope with the additional cost of providing lunch normally provided by free school meals. At Be Enriched we seek to give support families having healthy holidays.
Our Programs
Holiday Hunger
Holiday hunger, or the decreased availability of meals over the school holidays, affects 27.5% of children in Wandsworth. For some, the free meals they receive at school may be the only meals they eat in a day. When children are off school for the holidays, parents may struggle to find affordable childcare and may skip meals in order to make sure their children have enough to eat. We work within school settings, community centres and our partners to combat this
