This Saturday, old and new members of Be Enriched came out to POP Brixton to celebrate the wonderful, hard work of our volunteers over the years. As an organisation that relies heavily on volunteers, we really appreciate the dedication and hours put in by the many people that give their time to us. Without them, we wouldn’t be able to run our free, weekly, community meals around South London. The kindness and generosity of local people is what keeps us going and provides the work force behind what we do.
So, to say thanks, we brought the tropics to Brixton for one afternoon with palm trees and calypso music as well as fun fair games like hook-a-duck, limbo and a home-made coconut shy. Alongside this we had a Photo Booth and a juice station, turning surplus fruit and veg into delicious and nutritious fresh, juices, like pineapple, apple and mint. Franco Manca kindly donated us a load of pizzas which were devoured by everyone!
